OPAWL – Building AAPI Feminist Leadership is seeking proposals from experienced consultants to collaboratively create and facilitate a strategic visioning process that will guide our organization’s purpose, goals, and strategies. This process will engage general members, OPAWL staff, and member leaders within OPAWL (caucus leaders, working group leaders, campaign leaders, Board of Advisors, and more) and key external partners to co-create a roadmap for our future, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
We are seeking a consultant or team with:
- Experience and leadership in strategic planning, visioning, and facilitation
- Familiarity and comfort with an inclusive and participatory approach to stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated understanding of social justice, grassroots organizing, and movement-building spaces, with a preference for consultants with a strong understanding of the social movement ecology framework
- Commitment to racial and gender justice, with experience working with AAPI, feminist, and/or gender-expansive/trans organizations
- Willingness to facilitate sessions during at least one in-person retreat in Ohio
The consultant will be expected to incorporate and build upon previous internally-led work. The OPAWL Strategic Vision Working Group will be a key partner working closely with the consultant throughout this project.

- Cover Letter – Introduce yourself and your interest in the project.
- Proposed Approach and Work Plan – Describe your methodology and process.
- Relevant Experience – Highlight similar projects and past clients.
- Team Qualifications – Provide bios of key team members.
- Budget and Fee Structure – Outline the proposed cost and payment terms.
- References – Provide at least two professional references.
We will prioritize proposals submitted by March 5, 2025.
