Mexican immigrant
Bella Sin is the Executive Producer of the Ohio International Burlesque Festival and the owner of Cleveland Burlesque. In this video, Bella talks about their family’s life after immigrating from Mexico, the struggles they faced growing up in a mixed status family, and how they found joy in burlesque and were sustained through seeing their mother’s strength through adversity. Bella currently lives with their partner and children in Cleveland, and is grateful to be near their second stepdad Manual. Bella’s beloved mother Mona Ruiz passed away on October 8, 2021.
