OPAWL’s next statewide membership meeting is Thursday, Feb. 4th from 6:00-7:30pm EST! These regular meetings are a place where OPAWL members connect with each other, stay up-to-date on what’s happening in OPAWL, and share ideas and input on our culture and activities.
Next month, OPAWL celebrates a year of being a completely digital, state-wide community! Strong relationships are part of why OPAWL exists and continues to grow, and we’ll be starting 2021 off by building better relationships with each other through storytelling.
In our first general membership meeting of 2021, we’ll explore briefly the role storytelling plays in social movements, in OPAWL and in our personal lives. Then, we’ll spend time sharing our personal stories through a storytelling activity – and learn something new about each other! (For those who may be running a bit late: The storytelling activities will begin around 6:25 p.m. and will continue until the end of the event.)
AND – we’ll have a special announcement to share about a major OPAWL milestone.
If you’re an AAPI woman or nonbinary/trans person interested in playing an active role in co-creating OPAWL’s culture and future activities, initiatives or events, you should attend. We hope you’ll join us!
