A Safe Space for Survivors (Columbus)
September 26 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pmFree
Join Ohio Women’s Alliance, OPAWL, and Ohio Voice on September 26th from 2:00-3:30 pm for the next event in our Safe Space for Survivors series. We created this space because we have seen many of our loved ones and organizers re-triggered and re-traumatized due to the topics of harm, rape, and sexual assault taking over spaces we navigate. We wanted you to know that we see you, and we stand beside you to uplift you and provide resources for your wellbeing. We are partnering with Replenish Spa Co-op and the Yoga Carriage to offer a free yoga class and food to be in company with other survivors needing support, regrounding, and healing.
* American Sign Language interpretation will be provided *
Facilitated by Ibeliz Guadalupe, we will tune into our bodies with intentional breath to create safety from within and find rest outside of survival mode. Please honor your mind and body by coming to this event and participating as much as your body allows. We hope to see you soon.
Restoration is a vital component for creating safe and supported communities. At The Yoga Carriage we honor you for making the powerful choice to show up in this space of care and restoration that has been curated for you.
We encourage you to arrive 5-10 minutes before start time so that you may settle in, listen to nature, take a breath and deepen your experience.
